SM's newest rookie group EXO-K is walking on the pathway which has already been cleared by their seniors with heavy footsteps. And they are aiming high, an expectation which is not made from other senior artists before.
SM has also made a new record. Debuting a group in China and Korea at the same time. A rookie group coming out in 4 years and an online promotion worth 100 days before debut which caught the attention of many K-POP fans. EXO-K had their official debut on the 8th of April with their title song 'MAMA'.
They had been raising the anticipation and have been victorious with the feedback. 'MAMA' is a production of SMP (SM Music Performance) with majestic orchestra sounds. This sound creates a difference within the music being created these days. We can feel that their performances on stage are a level higher than the seniors and could be called 'another legend'.
The members couldn't hold in their expressions when the reporter complimented them 'Your looks look better from close', they seem to have a lot to tell about their 1 month since debut on earth.
"Before our debut, we have a 100 day promotion. It wasn't such a short time but us rookies have been waiting for those 100 days and have thought that the anticipation from the fans and viewers would increase. So we practiced event harder" (Chanyeol)
The word that brings them a bigger discussion is 'practice'. And the thing that has supported most of their life before being 20 was practicing. "We had an average of 3~4 years of training. I had a trainee period of 7 years. I started since year 11 (3rd year of High School). After school ended, I would go practice dancing, singing, Chinese, a second language from 5PM and return home late at night". (Suho).
